Dear Students,
Haiku is a traditional form of Japanese poetry. Haiku poems consist of 3 lines. The first and last lines of a Haiku have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables. The lines rarely rhyme. Here's a Haiku to help you remember:
I am first with five
Then seven in the middle
Five again to end.
Now it's your turn. I want you to post a Haiku. I can't wait to read them.

Children Around the World
Dear Students,
You researched the lifestyle of a child from a different country and now I want you to share an interesting fact that compares your lifestyle to theirs. In your post, tell me what country the child is from and include the fact and how it is different from your lifestyle.
I look forward to reading your posts.
Happy Blogging,
Mrs. Altendahl
